I on...No, I have no idea when it might have closed. I only meant that it could have been a long time since A&P left. A&P Preservation mentioned the wood siding, so I just meant that there was ample opportunity for another tenant to have installed it. I would expect that the store probably lasted until about the 1981 closing, as you mentioned.Zacharyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13474240202879870641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4842206651158755326.post-20252645673041027352019-05-02T19:16:27.396-04:002019-05-02T19:16:27.396-04:00Did they actually close that early? They did do major closings in the mid 1970's and again in 1981, though (including at that time the manufacturing arm except for coffee).

It's also harder to tell as their stores tended to be smaller than most, even when newly built, for quite some time.BillyGrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15279813135042821835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4842206651158755326.post-84524984123063863012019-04-17T20:42:21.653-04:002019-04-17T20:42:21.653-04:00Most likely. I don't know what tenant(s) were here between A&P and Sherwin Williams, but it's been a long time since A&P was up here in the Finger Lakes -- so we could be looking at an A&P that closed back as early as the 70s (or 60s?).Zacharyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13474240202879870641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4842206651158755326.post-81053939279299589852019-04-17T11:42:38.559-04:002019-04-17T11:42:38.559-04:00Great find! However, the wood paneling throws me off... was it possibly a later addition?Lucas M. Finzihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11167881018411047352noreply@blogger.com
