We are touring our next Saker ShopRite (the last one we just saw was in Somerville a few days ago), and by the way, this is the first one I photographed with my fancy new phone, so the pictures came out really nicely. This 67,000 square foot store might be a little smaller than some of the other Saker locations, but it's equally nice. At this point, we're pretty familiar with what Saker stores look like...
Produce is on the left side of the store, with bakery in the second aisle and Chinese food and sushi at the back of that island. Cheese, deli, prepared foods, and seafood are at the back of these two aisles, with meat lining the rest of the back wall, Nutrition Center in the first two grocery aisles, and frozen/dairy in the last two aisles. Pharmacy is in the front right corner. As promised, some beautiful pictures with vivid colors...
First aisle on the left side of the store with produce. As we've seen before, bread lines the left side of the second aisle, with service bakery facing...
Wok Empire bar at the back of the bakery island, with cheese and deli facing.
Cheese is in an island, a beautiful selection as always. World Class Kitchens and deli on the back wall.
Large deli and seafood counters on the back wall.
Moving to the opposite side of the back aisle, we see sushi in an island, and then the first two aisles make up the nutrition center.
Since mostly the Saker stores are extremely similar, we'll move through the rest of the store fairly quickly...
Meats on the back wall.
An awesome look across the back wall. Dairy is in the back corner here, continuing down the last aisle...
Frozen and dairy in the last two aisles.
You can get a sense of the spaciousness of these giant stores in some of these pictures. Better here than before even, since this store was not very crowded at the time I visited.
Pharmacy and front-end...
That wraps up our tour of Branchburg! Before we move on to our next group, we're going to turn south along route 206 (we've seen the last few stores along the east-west thoroughfare created by route 202) to pass through Hillsborough over the next three days. Come back tomorrow for two stores, one here on The Market Report and one over on Grocery Archaeology!

  1. Will you visit the Saker Shoprite in Freehold? I think that one looks a little different than these.

    1. Freehold is very similar to Edison in layout. I used to live about 15 minutes from there and would drive an extra 5-10 minutes to Jackson because it was considerably nicer and less crowded.

    2. I do hope to visit Freehold, but I have not yet.
