This store opened in July in a new development called the Tuscan Village, and takes up around 35,000 square feet on the ground floor of this complex. (Given what happened in Nashua , I do wonder if there's a chance this was originally planned as an Amazon Fresh but pivoted after that chain was wound down. I don't have any real evidence that it was, but it's a possibility.) This is one of the nicer Whole Foods I've been in recently, and it took me a bit to fully realize exactly why: It's so  well-stocked. Whole Foods Market Opened:  December 2024 Owner: Amazon Previous Tenants:  Toys R Us > Amazon Fresh (planned, never opened) Cooperative: none Location: 272 Daniel Webster Hwy, Nashua, NH Photographed:  July 2, 2026 Recognize the outside of this store? This has the classic facade installed in all Amazon Fresh stores , and that's because this former Toys R Us was slated to be the only Amazon Fresh in New Hampshire. The store measures around 44,000 square feet, so while it's smaller than a lot of supermarkets, it's actually about 1.5 times the size of the other Whole Foods here in Nashua. While this store is laid out exactly like an Amazon Fresh (and that means likely that the Amazon Fresh was fully built out but simply never opened, like so many locations), the decor is drastically different from Amazon Fresh's appearance. Whole Foods Market Opened: 2014 Owner: Amazon Previous Tenants:  Market Basket (1990-2013) Cooperative: none Location: 255 Amherst St, Nashua, NH Photographed: October 10, 2021 Nashua's proximity to Boston and large commuter population makes it a great place for businesses to enter the state for the first time. This was Whole Foods' first New Hampshire store, opening in a former Market Basket in 2014 . Market Basket almost never closes stores, and the only reason they did here was because they were able to replace this location with a massive new one just up the street , and at 85,000 square feet, that store dwarfs this 30,000 square foot one. Produce is on the right side, with bakery in the back-right corner. Meat and seafood counters line the back wall with dairy in the back-left corner, frozen on the left side, and deli/prepared foods on the left side of the store.
