We're here in the southwestern corner of the state, just half a mile from the New York border in the Glenville section of Greenwich, to take a very quick look at the Stop & Shop. Unfortunately, I didn't get to go inside because of time constraints when I visited, but I really wish I did. It appears to have had its Grand Union decor until closing day in June 2023. The store is around 20,000 square feet and built around an original 10,000 square foot Grand Union which Stop & Shop acquired in 2001. Here's a look inside from 2012. Apparently there is some interest in the property by other grocers, but they wanted more parking, which the landlord can now add . We'll see who moves in, and how well they do in the space.
