Our look at Centennial Square includes a tour of the Asian Food Markets in the main strip and a tour here at the ALDI in the outparcel! (Plus don't forget the ShopRite across the street.) At 19,000 square feet, it's slightly smaller than the Asian Food Markets but a very different store. In fact, I doubt there's much overlap between the two stores' offerings, which is why they can coexist in the same strip mall. While ALDI stores are mainly identical (and therefore mostly uninteresting to me), this one does have a slightly different facade. It almost looks like a movie theater to me, but unfortunately, I can't find anything on the history of this store. I'd assume that the store was indeed built as an ALDI with the standard layout but in the architectural style of the rest of the mall, although honestly the mall is just a hodgepodge of designs of the various tenants.
Inside, we find ALDI's latest decor package with a standard layout. The first aisle, which runs along the right side of the building in the first picture, contains baked goods and snacks in the front and produce in the back. Dairy and deli items run along the back wall, with frozen and meats on the left side of the store.
I really don't ever shop at ALDI but I must say, the newest decor package is quite attractive. I just never find anything I'm actually looking for at ALDI.
Here, the center dividing aisle only extends into the second grocery aisle.
As we can see, there's a lot of space in this store. I assume it gets crowded at times, although I've never actually been in an ALDI when it was very crowded.
Looking towards the back wall. Very clean floors!
A look at dairy and deli on the back wall.
Prepared foods, meat, and frozen foods line the rest of the last aisle. I am a big fan of this decor on this wall.
A look across the front-end before we head out. That is all for Edison and Piscataway, come back tomorrow for a look at where we're headed next!

  1. I remember this used to be a Old Navy unfortunately it closed around 2006 and was rented out briefly by Spirit Halloween before moved around the general area renting spaces when Aldi moved in.
