We're going to visit Woodbridge by passing through from south to north, and our first stop is in the southwestern part of the city. Prince William Square is home to this MOM's Organic Market, whose Cherry Hill location we toured not too long ago. I suspect the strip mall was also previously home to another supermarket, probably where Joann Fabrics is now.
The 12,300 square foot natural supermarket has a fair amount of competition, including a small natural market in the Potomac Festival across the street, a Wegmans just beyond that, and an assortment of other supermarkets. There are quite a few international supermarkets here in Woodbridge, including a SuperFresh, I mean Global Food (with SuperFresh decor almost entirely intact). But the granddaddy of all international supermarkets is located not too far east of here, so we're going to tour that one tomorrow on The Independent Edition!

  1. When this shopping center was built, this space was part of a Shoppers store.

    1. I was able to confirm this via Virginia ABC listings. Store #20 opened here in 1986 and relocated to Smoketown Stations (corner of PW Parkway/Smoketown) around 1994.
