Today's store is a quick look at the Price Chopper in Windsor! Our contributor briefly worked at this store and brings us this picture of the roughly 64,000 square foot supermarket. It's a pretty straightforward-looking Price Chopper, built from the ground up in 2007. Here's a look inside. Windsor is also home to a 21,000 square foot Geissler's IGA, a chain of seven CT/MA stores supplied by Bozzuto's. We'll be touring our share of Price Chopper stores, but tomorrow we're headed to the east to check out a store that Price Chopper recently closed and is now another chain!

  1. Definitely looks pretty standard inside.

Not sure that I ever saw one like this with the brick wall behind the glass front section, though.

Usually, that is where you enter the store (which here seems to be off to both sides of that front section).

    1. Interior vestibule brick walls were not that uncommon. Older ones often had matching grey brick while newer ones like this have the red brick.

    2. Good catch! It's a format that I am less familiar with to be sure, but that's interesting.
