Food Bazaar Supermarket
Opened: October 27, 2026
Produce is in the front-right corner, with the walk-in meat room taking up the back-right corner of the store along with the seafood department. Dairy lines the back wall, with frozen on the left side of the store. Bakery and deli are in the front-left corner. Despite being only slightly larger than Rosedale Avenue, this store feels much larger. It also feels newer, which is logical given that Western Beef extensively renovated the store before reopening it in 2014 or so. By the way, you can tour the Western Beef here.
Food Bazaar has quickly put up their faux-wood panels here, likely to cover up the big Western Beef graphics on the walls. Elsewhere in the store, they just used small stickers over logos.
Seafood is just outside the meat room on the back wall, with sale grocery items and dairy extending to the left of that.
This feels like a fairly new store, and this is likely to be one of the locations Food Bazaar doesn't have to do much renovation to.
You can see the aisle markers with some category listings left over from Western Beef and others that are new, which I mentioned in West Hempstead, too.
Frozen and the rest of dairy in the last aisle. The last few aisles here are shorter than the rest, to accommodate the bakery/deli area in the front-left corner along with another small storefront on that side. I don't know what Pathmark's layout was like here.
Both this store and the Rosedale Avenue location bake in-store, but the older Bruckner Food Bazaar doesn't have a bakery.
New "thank you for shopping" graphics up on the front wall, along with new checkout lane markers.

Welcome to the Bruckner Boulevard Food Bazaar! Wait, isn't that this store? Well, that one opened in 2001 and is at 1630 Bruckner. Half a mile east and across the highway is this store at 1851 Bruckner. Pathmark actually built it back in 1974, selling it to Western Beef between 2012 and 2014. Western Beef was open in the 35,000 square foot space by 2014, and sold the store to Food Bazaar last month. It's larger than the nearby Rosedale Avenue store, but smaller than the other Bruckner location. One minor note: there used to be a Boost Mobile store in the front corner here, behind those windows you can see right below the Food Bazaar sign above. That's now gone, and I wonder if Food Bazaar will use that as a tiny expansion of the sales floor.Previous Tenants: Pathmark (1974-ca. 2014) > Western Beef (ca. 2014-2026)

That's all for this new store, but there's still more to see! This weekend, we finish coverage of the stores Food Bazaar bought from Western Beef, plus Allegiance opens high-profile stores on Staten Island and in Central Jersey (tomorrow). Come back to check it out!
