We're taking a quick look at a former A&P here in Fairfield, NJ. Although Fairfield, a suburban municipality in northeastern New Jersey, no longer has any chain supermarkets, it is still home to a Corrado's Gourmet Market and the Lucky Farmers Market, which offers fresh produce and Asian groceries. This former A&P is now occupied by (surprise!) a Walgreens.
The sign facing Route 46 is probably left over from the A&P, although it now has a rectangular Walgreens sign.
As with so many 1950s and 60s supermarkets, there's way more parking than the store would ever need.
