Before we begin, just a heads up: this was originally posted in August 2020, but was rewritten with new photos in August 2026. Now for the post! This Fine Fare at 3550 White Plains Road is quite possibly one of the first Fine Fares to open. It opened under current ownership in 1995, and is owned by Carlos Collado, whose
3315 White Plains location we saw yesterday (it's about a quarter of a mile south on White Plains Road -- and it looks like it closed in 2026).
Now for a look inside with new photos from the spring of 2024...
This tiny store is only around 5,000 square feet. The first aisle on the left side of the store has produce and frozen foods, with meats on the back wall and dairy in the last aisle on the right side. I don't believe there's a deli here. And as you can see, the interior is very old-school but has gotten some updates, like new fixtures.
I believe this store opened in the 70s, and I don't know whether it was previously a supermarket before Fine Fare. Nothing in the interior made it clear that this store is definitely older than that, so at least when Fine Fare opened up, they did a full renovation.
The 3315 White Plains Road store was slightly larger than this one, it looks like. I don't know if that store will become another supermarket after its closure.
