Amazon Fresh announced this week that it will close all of its Amazon Fresh and Amazon Go stores . In a blog post, Amazon said that "various locations" will reopen as Whole Foods, but no further detail has been given yet. It's no secret that the chain has been troubled basically since the start, and it's been retooled many times. Still, the stores never took off, and have been struggling for at least months (and, in all likelihood, from the beginning). Now, all Amazon Fresh and Amazon Go stores will close tomorrow, February 1, 2026 . Let's revisit a couple of the stores that are closing, plus some more Amazon Fresh info.
