I can't say I'm a huge fan of the facade renovation. It's a little cartoony for me. The right half of the building has been converted into a health food store, originally Grassroots Market (which retains a second, and original, location in Denville), and later Green Life Market. As we see in the following 2016 Google Maps street view, Grassroots' sign was not, um, easy to read, especially since the building is set back from the street.
Why would anyone put up a sign like that? Granted, it's faded, but it's also tiny and badly spaced. And the better question is, why would they keep a sign like that? Updated 2026: The entire mall has now been demolished for a new redevelopment.
