Update: ShopRite - Belleville, NJ

ShopRite Opened: 2013 Owner:  LoCurcio Family Markets Previous Tenants:  Pathmark (1980s-2010) Cooperative:  Wakefern Food Corp. Location:  726 Washington Ave, Belleville, NJ Photographed:  September 11, 2025 It's time for another visit to the ShopRite of Belleville, a former Pathmark that closed in 2010 and reopened three years later under the same ownership as the ShopRite of Nutley. Nutley has recently undergone a major renovation, and my most recent post about that also included a look at the beginning of a renovation at the Belleville location. Belleville, although it's now more than 10 years old, still felt like a pretty new store prior to the latest renovation. Now, it feels really brand-new, just like Nutley. As I guessed, the ceiling has been painted black throughout most of the store, and new flooring has been installed throughout too. It was an extensive renovation for a store that's not even 15 years old, but they didn't relocate any service depart...

Location:  437 Franklin Ave, Nutley, NJ Photographed:  June 5, 2025 In addition to a look at the new Hillside SuperFresh, I've got two more awesome ShopRite remodels to show you. Several ShopRite operators have really been giving their all for new stores and renovations lately, and these are absolutely top-of-the-line stores. See Watchung  and  Rochelle Park , among many others, for example. Here in Nutley, we're back to check out the completed -- and extremely impressive -- remodel after seeing it almost  done back in November. When I visited in November, the decor was almost fully installed, but all the finishing touches weren't up yet. If you compare these pictures to the ones linked above, you can see there's some text and accents that hadn't yet been installed. That's true in the pharmacy, which now has some fun vines. Unfortunate...
