ShopRite of Ark Road Owner: Karl Eickhoff Opened:  2007 Previous Tenants:  Shop n Bag > Super G > Stop & Shop (2005-2007) Cooperative:  Wakefern Food Corp. Location:  127 Ark Rd, Mount Laurel, NJ Photographed:  December 2019 It's our final store north of Camden! It's more like east of Camden, slightly north, about 13 miles out on route 38. The township of Mount Laurel has three ShopRites, two of which are owned by the Ravitz family (Nixon Drive and Union Mill), and one of which -- this one -- is owned by Eickhoff, whose stores we've seen before. This one, on Ark Road in the Hartford section of Mount Laurel, and Union Mill were both Super G locations rebranded to Stop & Shop in 2005, then sold to Wakefern in 2007 when Stop & Shop exited this area of the state. ShopRite of Delran Owner: Karl Eickhoff Opened:  ca. 2005 Previous Tenants:  none Cooperative:  Wakefern Food Corp. Location:  1310 Fairview Blvd, Delran, NJ Photographed:  January 2021 The 63,000 square foot ShopRite of Delran was constructed around 2005 as a replacement for a store just south on route 130 at 4004 US-130 . That location was built as a Food Fair and became a ShopRite in the 1970s. I haven't been inside this store, and although it looks quite nice inside, it looks just like Burlington . It probably opened with a different decor package and then was remodeled around the time that Burlington opened. Before we leave Delran, check out a look at a small independent grocer just south on 130 and tomorrow we have another set of stores on 130 to the south in Cinnaminson, both over on Grocery Archaeology !

ShopRite of Burlington Owner: Karl Eickhoff Opened:  2015 Previous Tenants:  Kmart Cooperative:  Wakefern Food Corp. Location:  1817 Mount Holly Rd, Burlington, NJ Photographed:  January 2021 We are here at the Wishing Well Plaza to tour the roughly 92,000 square foot ShopRite of Burlington, NJ. This store opened in 2015 as a replacement for the Willingboro store around two and a half miles southwest (which we'll be seeing tomorrow), in a former Kmart . I remember many years ago, probably around 2013-14, I stopped at the Cinnaminson ShopRite (roughly 10 miles southwest, but opened not long before this one and of a similar design and the same owners) for lunch and ate in the second-floor cafe, marveling at this wonder of grocery retail design. Well, I haven't been back to Cinnaminson since, but I thought it would be worth stopping by Burlington to check it out when I was down in the area in January 2021.
