The small supermarket in town has changed brands, switching from Bloomingdale Supermarket by Foodtown to SuperFresh. We're here to follow up on a previous visit showing the transition in progress. And great news from the outside of the store! The oddly-shaped sign , which used to read Food World IGA , has been replaced with SuperFresh signage in a SuperFresh-shaped outline. Don't remember this tiny town of 8,000 people? It has an 8,000 square foot supermarket right in the middle of town, which started way back in the 1950s as the Big Leader Supermarket. By the 1960s, it had become a ShopRite, then a Pathmark in 1968. The following decade, Pathmark moved to Kinnelon . This store became an IGA called Food World , which closed in 2023 and shortly thereafter reopened as Bloomingdale Supermarket by Foodtown . (The new store's logo has been rather unfortunately fit into the frame for the Food World sign.) That new store is owned by Adam Shapiro, who also manages operations for Jack's Foodtown ...

Farmers Market by Food Bazaar Supermarket Owner:  Spencer An / Bogopa Service Corp. Opened:  2015 Previous Tenants:  Food World IGA Location:  345 Huntington Tpk, Bridgeport, CT Photographed:  December 2019 Returning to the 25,000 square foot Farmers Market by Food Bazaar that we first saw back in 2017. While I took an exterior photo and stopped inside the store, I didn't get any interior pictures for whatever reason. So, I went back to photograph the interior in May 2019. The main feature of the store, and what takes up the most space, is the produce department in the center of the store. Like any other Food Bazaar's produce department, it's beautiful. The left-side wall features a few very short grocery aisles and frozen, with seafood in the back corner and meat/deli on the back wall. Dairy lines the right side wall. While this has the same decor package as Manhattan Ave , a key difference is that the ceiling here is white. It has...
