Here in Prospect Heights, a tiny Key Food was demolished back in 2017 to make way for a new-build, multi-story development on the same site. One report at the time said the new development, including a new supermarket on the ground floor, could open as soon as 2019. Well, here we are in 2026, and the store has finally opened! It's still under the same ownership as the previous Key Food, but is now rebranded as Urban Market (though it's still part of Key Food).
