Hannaford - Nashua, NH

Hannaford Opened:  early 00s Owner: Ahold Delhaize Previous Tenants: Shop n Save (1990s-early 00s) Cooperative: none Location: 175 Coliseum Ave, Nashua, NH Photographed: July 2, 2026 Over the past few years, I've come to really love Hannaford. By and large, their stores are in great shape, well-run, and well-priced. This Nashua location is no exception. It's a pretty new store to begin with, having been constructed as a Shop 'n Save around the mid-90s. It became a Hannaford in the early 2000s, and has been renovated at least once since then. At around 65,000 square feet, this store feels plenty large but not too big, like some of the supermarkets in this area. This isn't a flagship store quite as much as some (that's about 15 miles north of here), but there's a lot here. We begin with an Aroma Joe's coffee shop and cafe right inside the entrance, not a typical Hannaford feature, and then move to a larger-than-usual prepared foods area right across fro...

Hannaford - Keene, NH

Hannaford Opened: 1990s Owner: Ahold Delhaize Previous Tenants: Sun Foods (1984-1990s) Cooperative: none Location: 481 West St, Keene, NH Photographed: August 13, 2021 It's time for the final supermarket of this region of New Hampshire! This Hannaford is just outside of downtown Keene, and was built in the 1980s as a Hannaford-owned Sun Foods warehouse store. The store spans about 65,000 square feet, on the larger side for Hannaford. It's near an ALDI and a Price Chopper, with a Market Basket slightly farther away, but right downtown in Keene is the beautiful Monadnock Food Co-op, which you can tour here . For now, enjoy the weekend, and see you in Nashua next week!

Hannaford - Bedford, NH (Kilton Rd)

Hannaford Opened: 2016 Owner: Ahold Delhaize Previous Tenants: Stop & Shop (closed 2013) Cooperative: none Location: 7 Kilton Rd, Bedford, NH Photographed: August 16, 2025 This one isn't quite so obvious as the Exeter location, but this Hannaford is a former Super Stop & Shop. Unlike Exeter, this roughly 70,000 square foot location got a major overhaul after Stop & Shop closed in 2013 (and pulled out of all of New Hampshire). Hannaford didn't open until 2016, and ironically, this store's opening date was just about a month before Ahold and Delhaize merged, bringing Hannaford and Stop & Shop under the same ownership. This store was at the time -- and, by all indications, seems to still be -- a flagship location for the chain. It's much larger than most Hannafords, and has a slightly different layout. The Super Stop & Shop layout featured a wide selection of nonfoods (a wider selection than Hannaford has), so Hannaford used a lot of the sales fl...
