We saw the store back in 2021 and around the time I posted that tour, the owners of the store retired and sold the store to Wakefern's corporate division, SRS or ShopRite Supermarkets, Inc. SRS's store base is made up mostly of stores acquired from Big V when they went under in 2000, but there are also new stores and assorted acquisitions. SRS renovated the store, but it seems to have been a very low-budget remodel. Really only the decor was changed, with a few exceptions. Location:  14 Post Rd, Oakland, NJ Photographed:  December 2020 We're back here at the Oakland ShopRite, one of my favorites, for a wintry tour to supplement our past snapshot ! The scenery was looking much greener back in my July 2018 pictures, but the mountains to the north of the store are still there and just as scenic in the winter. We're looking from the upper (main) parking lot down towards the lower parking lot, which connects to the parking garage under the store, which itself is perched on top of a hill. You can see route 202 in the distance down at the bottom of this hill, where the circular ShopRite sign is. One of several unusual things about this gigantic 81,000 square foot store is the fact that the storefront, which faces the parking lot and is oriented away from the road, does not have the ShopRite...
