Big Boi Meat Market Opened: summer 2022 Owner:  Maycan Groner Alvarenga Previous Tenants:  Tedeschi Food Shops Cooperative:  none Location:  430 Waverly St, Framingham, MA Photographed:  August 27, 2025 We return to Framingham very briefly to see the city's Big Boi Meat Market, opened in the summer of 2022 in a former Tedeschi convenience store -- I'm not sure what was here before them -- joining locations in Worcester and Shrewsbury , among a few others. Big Boi Meat Market Opened: 2021 Owner:  Andrea Marques Previous Tenants:  India Foods & Gifts Cooperative:  none Location:  264 Boston Tpk, Shrewsbury, MA Photographed:  March 20, 2021 and October 23, 2021 Once a small store called India Food & Gifts, the space at 264 Boston Turnpike became the latest location of Big Boi Meat Market. The 3,000 square foot store opened in 2021, between my first visit (above, March 2021) and my second visit (below, October 2021). We saw Big Boi's Worcester location at the end of this post , and they also now have a Framingham location about 16 miles east. Inside, the store has a small produce and grocery selection with a large meat counter at the back of the store. It mostly represents Brazilian foods, serving Massachusetts' growing Brazilian population . Interestingly, this store is immediately next door to a former grocery store, which we'll be taking a look at tomorrow!
