Orange Farmers Market Opened: 2000 Owner:  unknown Previous Tenants:  unknown Cooperative:  none Location:  502 Main St, City of Orange, NJ Photographed:  January 31, 2026 Circling back to the little Orange Farmers Market, which says it's under new management (and under new ownership online). The store is small but has a lot, and most recently, I spotted a seafood case going into the store . Now, the seafood department is open, and the store has been freshened up with a new paint job. You can get a sense below that it's a small store, with a few rows of produce taking up about half the sales floor. Seafood and tea are now at the back, with two or three grocery aisles on the right side along with dairy and frozen. There's also a floral department on the front wall. Bolton Orchards Opened: 1945 Owner:  Sarah & Joel O'Toole Previous Tenants:  none Cooperative:  Associated Grocers of New England (AGNE) Location:  125 Still River Rd, Bolton, MA Photographed:  October 9, 2021 Nothing like a New England farm market in the fall! I visited Bolton Orchards back in the fall of 2021 when I was biking from Worcester to Nashua, New Hampshire one beautiful October day. For the apple-centric market, it's primetime. The store is a combination farm market and small grocery store, and is a member of Associated Grocers of New England -- no relation to the New York-based Associated Supermarket Group , or any of the other cooperatives named Associated across the country. AGNE uses Food Club, the storebrand from Topco. There's a basic selection of home goods and hardware, which makes this feel very much like a true country store (which it is). S&S Farms & Marketplace Opened: 1978 Owner:  Josh & Erin Bailey Previous Tenants:  none Cooperative:  none Location:  307 West Boylston St, West Boylston, MA Photographed:  November 8, 2020 West Boylston doesn't have any supermarkets these days, although there were several in the past, including yesterday's IGA . But there is a delightful small market in town, or really more of a collection of a few storefronts. S&S Farms was originally located in Clinton, just north, but in the early 80s , moved to this location. The following decade, according to their website, they added the deli (in a separate storefront) and most recently, a butcher. Here's a look inside the farmstand/produce building, with a building just across the side street for butcher and deli. The deli is in the basement and the butcher shop is on the above ground floor. Farmers Market by Food Bazaar Supermarket Owner:  Spencer An / Bogopa Service Corp. Opened:  2015 Previous Tenants:  Food World IGA Location:  345 Huntington Tpk, Bridgeport, CT Photographed:  December 2019 Returning to the 25,000 square foot Farmers Market by Food Bazaar that we first saw back in 2017. While I took an exterior photo and stopped inside the store, I didn't get any interior pictures for whatever reason. So, I went back to photograph the interior in May 2019. The main feature of the store, and what takes up the most space, is the produce department in the center of the store. Like any other Food Bazaar's produce department, it's beautiful. The left-side wall features a few very short grocery aisles and frozen, with seafood in the back corner and meat/deli on the back wall. Dairy lines the right side wall. Heading about 27 miles south of Beacon  for today's and tomorrow's Snapshots. By the way, please excuse any typos this post may contain. As I'm writing this, I'm sitting facing a large window and as the sun is setting, it's becoming impossible to read what's on my computer. I don't quite have the motivation to get up and move somewhere less sunny. So if my writing descends into complete nonsense, hey, now you know what it's like to be on the receiving end of one of my supermarket lectures when you are not a Market Report reader! Today's store is a produce and fish market that looks pretty big from these pictures and Google Maps, although I haven't been inside. They have their work cut out for them, though, because they share a strip mall with an Ideal Food Basket supermarket (which we'll see tomorrow). Here's a quick look at a store that specializes in fresh produce and perishables in Tarrytown, NY. It's affiliated with Krasdale's Market Fresh group. Harvest Field opened their first store at 75 Fleetwood Ave, Mount Vernon, NY in 2010 in half of a former A&P. (The other half, shockingly, became a CVS.) 2016 saw the opening of this location at 350 S Broadway, Tarrytown, which is actually two floors with grocery and deli on the main floor and produce in the basement. Rounding out Farmers Market Week is this small storefront in Midtown Manhattan, NY. This particular location was rather difficult to find when researching online due to the fact that there seem to be multiple stores called Stiles Farmers Market. Making matters worse is the fact that this store was formerly called Stile's  Farmers Market. It's at 476 9th Ave, and the Stiles Farmers Market also sells some basic groceries and baked goods.

Heading out west to Rockaway, whose ShopRite we've seen before. The township is also home to the Rockaway Farmers Market at 353 US-46. It's actually a barrel-roof building, although it's more likely to be a former skating rink than a former supermarket. Can anyone confirm this? The Rockaway Farmers Market first opened sometime between 2012 and 2016, then closed and reopened under new ownership. It has remained open since.
