Update on Plainsboro!

The Plainsboro Food Emporium will now be operated by Kevin Kim as a Superfresh, and his target opening is October/November 2017. This interview video allows him to tell what he sees the store's future as, and it sounds great. Let's hope he can pull it off!

Change of Plans

I like to have all my blog posts written out and planned ahead of time. As I'm writing this, I have already written: 11 Store Tours 10 Snapshots 4 Look Inside posts 2 Photo of the Day posts So I'm well ahead of real-time. But I think that's backfiring on me -- I have enough material, at the rate I'm currently posting, to last me through next June. After doing a bunch of reorganization in Google Calendar, I have a pretty good schedule. Yep, it's color-coded and everything. So here's the thing -- because I have such a crazy amount of material I haven't posted yet, I'll be switching to three posts a week instead of two. So come back on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for new posts every week. With a couple breaks, that gets us about halfway through next April before I run out of material. Not bad! This new schedule will take effect this coming Wednesday, 9/20/17. We'll be seeing a Snapshot, then starting right in with a Store Tour on Frid...

The Latest Superfresh Update...

Key Food's On the Move - Again We're seeing rapid growth and development in Key Food's new Superfresh banner. A while ago I reported that there were more Superfresh stores on the way. Key Food has bought the URL http://www.superfreshfood.com (the website http://www.superfreshstore.com directs to the two Staten Island stores) from A&P as part of the deal. Until recently it redirected to a version of the Key Food website with the Superfresh logo instead of Key Food: However, visiting the URL http://www.superfreshfood.com will direct you instead to http://www.keyfood.com/superfresh , a page about Superfresh specifically. At first glance the website looks great. A short introduction, a map showing where the locations are, and the list of locations. One problem, though - there is one location on the map that doesn't exist (yet?)! (Consequently, there is one fewer location listed underneath than is labeled on the map.) Another Superfresh Coming Soon!

The Food Emporium Garwood is no more! Superfresh coming soon! http://thefoodemporiumgarwood.com/ Post on Facebook This is a good choice. "The Food Emporium" had too much of a bad reputation behind it, and with Superfresh, they can make a "fresh" (ha! - couldn't resist) start. I personally liked this store a lot but I know of many people who don't. Photo from Styertowne on Flickr.
