MOM's Organic Market Opened: 2020 Owner:  Scott Nash Previous Tenants:  A&P > O&O > Drug Emporium > ALDI Location:  925 Easton Rd, Roslyn, PA Photographed:  July 22, 2021 Terrible photos for this store, but we're gonna go with it. This building, which is roughly 27,000 square feet, was built in the 1970s as an A&P -- possibly as a replacement for the store at 132 or 123 S Easton Rd . In 1982, it became an O&O (Owner & Operator, I believe) store run by former A&P employees, which then became a Drug Emporium in the 90s. Around 2005, it was divided in half for ALDI and Family Dollar; when ALDI closed (and I can't find any evidence that it relocated elsewhere), MOM's moved in a few years later. Welcome to Baltimore, almost! We're about 12 miles southwest of the city in Jessup to visit the MOM's Organic Market at Columbia East Marketplace. We've seen a few of their stores, and toured the Cherry Hill location . This looks like a fairly large MOM's store, especially since the website mentions it was expanded in 2019. By the way, here's what the outside looks like. As we saw in Cherry Hill, the store is extremely spacious with wide concourses between all the aisles. Above, I believe we're looking across the back wall of the store, and in the first shot we're looking towards the back from the front of the store. Prince William Square is home to this MOM's Organic Market, whose Cherry Hill location we toured not too long ago. I suspect the strip mall was also previously home to another supermarket, probably where Joann Fabrics is now. The 12,300 square foot natural supermarket has a fair amount of competition, including a small natural market in the Potomac Festival across the street, a Wegmans just beyond that, and an assortment of other supermarkets. This time, that chain is MOM's Organic Market, and I visited their first New Jersey location, here in Cherry Hill, back in January 2021. The Maryland-based chain was originally called My Organic Market, which was shortened to MOM, and most recently re-branded as the rather redundant MOM MOM's Organic Market, at least if we are to take the sign at face value. A good friend, who's a Baltimore native, explained the history to me and says that people simply call it MOM's. More recently, the chain has opened up in Dobbs Ferry, NY and most recently in Paramus .
