Update: ACME Markets!

Hoboken Acme Style brings us more pictures of Hoboken which has recently installed a Frosted Mug-branded liquor department, where A&P previously had liquor (nearly six years after they acquired the store). This was followed a few weeks later with a Quality Built remodel, with some interesting idiosyncracies that we'll see. Acme Style caught the liquor department being installed, as well as a few photos from the post-remodel store. All of these pictures except the very first one are Acme Style's. Liquor is back in the front left corner, with some upgrades compared to A&P's department. A new register next to the floral department in the front corner has been installed specifically for the liquor store. As we can see, the flooring is also being replaced -- possibly even throughout the whole store. We'll see more signs of that shortly. Update: ACME Markets!

Our first two updates of the day come to us courtesy of the Acme Style blogger! (Plus one store of my own at the end of the post.) Although the blog closed back in 2018, the blogger is still out and about periodically to check out what's going on at the area ACME stores, and we have two updates from them on Bergen County stores. Edgewater (pictured above) We saw Edgewater's remodel back in February  as the reset was still in progress. Let's just say that it hasn't improved since. Acme Style writes: "First aisle was removed to make room for an addition to the Pharmacy in the front corner. It now has a 'consultation room'. I'm sure it's used now for COVID vaccinations more than anything. Interesting that they installed it shortly before the pandemic hit."
