The only reason we're seeing this store right now is that we were just here, a couple months ago, when it was still Best Supermarket . At some point during this past summer or early fall, the 3000 square foot store became Latin Food Market. I don't know whether anything changed inside, as I only briefly saw the store and didn't get to go inside. That's all for this brief post, but take a look at the other posts today here. We actually saw this store once before , right after it went through a somewhat strange transition from a Chinese grocery store to essentially a large bodega affiliated with America's Food Basket and using the Essential Everyday brand, but without ever officially being part of the group. Before that, it was Supermarket 999 and even before, Family 88 Supermarket . It looks from city directories like before it was Family 88, it was called Chinatown Supermarket. After reopening under Latino owners, Best switched to Krasdale shortly after joining America's Food Basket. The store has been rearranged a few times, but it's basically a small store of about 3000 square fee...

If you were looking for the best supermarket in Worcester, here it is. No, seriously. This store, which has been numerous other grocery stores in the past, has recently reopened under the name Best Supermarket. Strangely enough, it had previously been a store under the same name previously, and even with the same sign. All they did was replace some of the fixtures and restock! Plus a few changes a few days after that first photo in August 2018. Most notably, the Chinese characters have been painted over on the awning that they didn't replace. Which makes sense, since the store now is... An America's Food Basket affiliate?!?! Yes, although it's not on AFB's website (at the time of writing). The current owners appear to be targeting the area's Latino population instead of the area's Asian population, as previous owners had done. (Both populations are significant in the area.) This store is located at 877 Main St, Worcester, MA.
