Market Guide 2024 is NOW AVAILABLE! I am so excited to announce that this year there are 14 states available with full listings of every grocery store in the state -- plus two cities and three full region listings. This has been a major effort that I've spent hours upon hours on over the last two or three months and it's very exciting! Here is the Market Guide website! The release of the 2019 Market Guide has been postponed. Unfortunately, I couldn't quite get around to putting the year's together just yet. However, you can still see the 2018 edition here . The 2019 edition is expected to be done by the end of this spring. But don't despair! You can still enjoy the brand-new Grocery Archaeology blog's first post at ga.marketreportblog.com ! The Market Report is thrilled to announce the launch of a new blog, Grocery Archaeology ! This blog focuses on the history of individual supermarket locations, whether currently a grocery store or not. The blog launches March 1 and will have posts once every two weeks at ga.marketreportblog.com . We'll also be taking requests for locations to cover! As promised, here's the 2018 edition of the Market Guide! (Yes, I know there are only three months left in 2018. But I did also just finish this last night!) Click on the link below to see the complete selection of 2018 Market Guides, including all 21 counties of New Jersey, the five boroughs of New York City, and two banners. Each store listing is arranged by municipality (New Jersey and banners) or ZIP code (New York City), and contains the store's full address and, where possible, the owner or principal. For the 2019 edition, I hope to update all 28 of these and create a few new ones as well. Are there any geographic areas that you'd like to see covered? I will probably do some more counties in New York, since it's easy to find owner/principal names for NY businesses. What other requests do you have? Until then, happy shopping!

Hi everyone! Thanks for reading The Market Report! We're over 300 posts and 70,000 views , and both of those numbers are going up. Recently we introduced the-market-report.blogspot.com , a new homepage for the blog. Navigation for the blog's special features will now be through that website, as well as featured posts changing frequently. Coming by the end of next month, we'll be introducing the Market Guide, which is a series of annual publications listing supermarkets by county or by banner. The 2018 edition will feature 26 counties, including all 21 in New Jersey, as well as Bronx, Kings, New York, Queens, and Richmond Counties making up the five boroughs of New York City, along with location listings for two banners.
