No problem -- that was one of the very first stores I photographed back in 2017 and posted in 2018 . Let's return to check it out! This store opened around 2015, though I haven't been able to nail down an exact opening date. This space has been a supermarket for at least a decade, maybe more, though back in the 70s and 80s it was a furniture store. The store has now been expanded from just 4600 square feet (plus possibly a basement) to 7500 square feet, and a parking lot has been added to a formerly vacant lot next door. ACME Markets Opened: November 2015 Owner:  Albertsons Companies Previous Tenants:  A&P (1960s-2015) Cooperative:  none Location:  100 NY-22, Goldens Bridge, NY Photographed:  October 9, 2025 It's gonna be a big weekend, everyone! Today and tomorrow, The Market Report visits three new stores and revisits seven others, so there's plenty to see. Let's begin with a look at the ACME in Goldens Bridge, NY, a small town in Westchester County not far from the Connecticut border. My 2021 photos that I've posted previously showed the store with its A&P decor still very much intact, but earlier this year, ACME completed a full renovation of the store that included a small expansion into a neighboring storefront, to the store's current 20,000 square feet or so. LIDL Opened: July 30, 2025 Owner:  Schwarz Group Previous Tenants:  none Cooperative:  none Location:  80 River St, Hackensack, NJ Photographed:  August 1, 2025 Located on the site of the former Daily Record newspaper building, LIDL has opened its latest New Jersey store in a new mixed-use development. It's one of their relatively few new build stores lately, as most of their focus is on converting existing buildings, but it's nice to see a brand-new building. At 23,500 square feet, it's not that large. But it feels spacious and modern, and the new building it's in helps. It's a standard LIDL layout with produce and bakery in the front-left corner, then deli and meat/seafood lining the first aisle on the left side. Dairy lines the back aisle and part of the last aisle on the right side, with frozen in the front half of the last aisle.
