Weis Markets Opened:  2012 Previous Tenants:  Genuardi's (1988-2012) Location:  73 Old Dublin Pk, Doylestown, PA Photographed:  July 22, 2021 Northern Doylestown seems to be a place for some really nice supermarkets, as we'll see. It's likely because there are so many so close together. This Weis opened in 2012 in a former Genuardi's that they acquired, and initially left as it was. After a few years, as the GIANT Food Store nearby prepared to move into a new, larger location in a former Kmart, Weis began a renovation of this store. As we'll see, it's still got the bones of a Genuardi's, but it looks much more modern. We enter to the floral department in an island, with the spacious grand aisle to our right. Produce is in the front with beer/wine and the cafe in the front right corner, and deli/prepared foods on the right side of the grand aisle. Amazon Fresh Opened: 2021 P revious Tenants:  Genuardi's (2000-2010) > GIANT Food Stores (2010-2013) Location:  389 Easton Rd, Warrington, PA Photographed:  December 28, 2021 We're here to tour our second Amazon Fresh, having seen Paramus not too long ago. Warrington is extremely similar to Paramus, although it's equipped with the Dash Carts rather than the Just Walk Out system. More on that shortly. This building was built around 2000 as a Genuardi's, which was sold to GIANT before the rest of the chain was in 2010. GIANT closed in 2013, and the space sat vacant for a long time before Amazon Fresh came in. I would say this store was generally a little better-stocked than Paramus, and overall felt a little better-run. But it still was an unremarkable store. The layout is almost identical, except for the lack of the entrance gates we see at Paramus and all the cameras.
