I was not quite old enough to walk when most of its stores closed in 2001, and any substantive information about it online can be rather elusive. So, eventually, I thought, if I can make spreadsheets of existing Krasdale or Associated Group stores, why not former Grand Union stores as well? Now, I must admit, NY Retail Roundup has an absolutely amazing list of hundreds of former GU locations, but it's not complete. It, for instance, does not list street addresses, and it is missing many locations. So here is my own attempt at the last word in Grand Union lists! It's not perfect (probably it's missing hundreds of locations), but it is as far as I can tell the most complete list of former Grand Union locations available on the internet. You might notice I haven't been posting anything much for the last few days...
