It's not hard to tell what this 16,600 square foot store store was before its current tenant, although it briefly spent time as a TJ Bart's between A&P and Boyer's. I believe this is our final Boyer's, and it's not exactly the most exciting of them all. It looks a lot like the other stores of this era we've seen. Unfortunately, while many Boyer's stores are located in old big-chain supermarkets like this one, very few have any real remnants from the original tenants left. This one is no exception. You enter on the right side and walk across the front-end to produce in the front left corner. Cold cuts and frozen meat are in the first aisle on the left side, with meats and deli on the back wall. Gould's ShurSave Owner: Debra Cara Opened:  2013 under current ownership Cooperative:  ShurSave Location:  669 PA-93, Conyngham, PA Photographed:  November 29, 2019 Almost at the end of the Coal Region! We are just to the northwest of Hazleton today to tour the 33,000 square foot Gould's ShurSave. The ShurSave cooperative used to be a very large, very prominent group in this part of Pennsylvania (and affiliated with AWI, the wholesaler from York, PA that produced ShurFine products). When AWI went under, C&S acquired their wholesale division and distribution contracts for many of the independent stores. ShurSave still exists, but barely (there are only 12 stores left ). Gould's has a wonderful classic supermarket interior, but as we see, there have been a lot of updates to the inside, too, with new fixtures. The first aisle holds the dairy department.
